The investment at the Stoneygate Close site will create a facility for customers and staff which includes a full interior makeover and the development of a large showroom that will showcase at least 12 all-new Nissan vehicles.

The final refurbishment is expected to be officially unveiled to customers in April, though the dealership remains open throughout the build and with all normal services still available on site.

The transformed Gateshead dealership will reflect Lookers’ ongoing drive towards full sustainability with the addition of three new electric car charge points for customer use, along with a further five in a dedicated workshop.

As well as a new, larger sales floor, digital innovations and extra customer parking bays, the redeveloped site will have increased capacity to accommodate a range of next-generation Nissan cars and vans, including all-electric and hybrid models as well as space for over 150 used vehicles.
