Memes have flooded Twitter as people have been getting the ‘JWT is expired’ message due to a bad gateway error that has resulted in Spotify being down.

Users are not happy that they are not able to listen to their favorite music as an error has made it impossible for them to stream music.

As of now, Spotify has not revealed what is the cause for the app to be down.

It was later revealed that many users had been getting the ‘JWT is expired’ message as they tried to stream music on the app.

One user wrote: “When I try to open (desktop, not mobile app), I get a blank page with the message “JWT is expired”. Another added: “I get the message “Jwt is expired”, and that’s it. The website is not working for me. Others here saying it’s fine, guessing they are on the app?”

At the moment, it is unclear what led to this. However, Spotify knows this and has been working to fix it. Their official Twitter handle tweeted: “Something’s not quite right, and we’re looking into it. Thanks for your reports!”

There is no possible fix for this

Sadly, users will have to just wait and hope that Spotify fixes this issue soon. It looks like an internal bug as several people are having problems trying to log into their accounts.

  3. Switch App Updates on.

Android users can update the app as follows:

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
