We have also covered the following:

  1. Razer Viper V2 Pro
  2. Logitech G305

  4. Razer Orochi V2
  5. Logitech G Pro Wireless
  6. Glorious Model O Wireless

Razer Viper V2 Pro

Best Overall Gaming Mouse For Fortnite

Best Overall Gaming Mouse For Fortnite
Razer Viper V2 Pro

Specifications: Size: 126.5 x 66.2 x 37.8mm | Weight: 58g | Warranty: 90 million clicks | Programmable Buttons: 5 | Switch Type: Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3 | Max Speed (IPS): 750 | Max Sensitivity (DPI): 30,000 | Sensor: Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor | RGB: No

  • Superbly low weight
  • It comes with additional side grips
  • Great grip design
  • Extended battery life
  • Unsuitable for left-handed people
  • No RGB

Starting with the best overall mouse for Fortnite, the Razer Viper V2 Pro can get you almost everything you’re looking for in a mouse. For example, it’s perfect for people with medium-sized hands who don’t mind a simple design for their peripherals. You also get an amazing click lifecycle making the mouse even juicier.

Firstly, discussing the dimensions, the Razer Viper V2 Pro comes in at around 126.5 x 66.2 x 37.8mm (L x W x H), making it a great option for almost all consumers. When I tested the mouse, I could easily put my entire palm around the mouse and felt no discomfort. The simple yet robust design is perfect for forming a firm grip on the mouse.

Moreover, you’ll easily move your mouse because of its supremely light weight of 58 grams. During the testing phase, the slightest push helped me move the mouse around without exerting extra force, which usually leads to inaccuracy. For competitive shooter games, accuracy is key, which is why the super lightweight makes the Razer Viper V2 Pro one of the best mouse pros use for Fortnite.

Although you don’t get any RGB features, the minimalistic design approach by Razer makes the mouse a great option for almost any build. You don’t have to worry about any aesthetics.

Looking at the connectivity of the Razer Viper V2 Pro, the mouse offers wireless connectivity and a dongle through which users can get an experience similar to a wired connection. The 2.4GHz dongle employs Razer’s HyperSpeed wireless technology, which helps achieve remarkable results. To charge the mouse, you must remove the USB-C cable from the coupler and attach it to the mouse. That will turn it into a wired device. Once the battery is charged, reverse the steps, and you’ll have yourself a wireless mouse again.

In conclusion, the Razer Viper V2 Pro is a great wireless mouse for competitive gaming. You should consider the mouse if budget isn’t an issue. The weight and feet of the mouse make aiming that much easier.

Testing the mouse, I loved the super lightweight and grip capabilities of the Razer Viper V2 Pro. The minimalistic design felt great with my gaming rig, improving the overall aesthetic.

What We Disliked

While the Razer Viper V2 Pro is an amazing mouse, it’s not made for left-handed people. Although I loved using it, because I’m left-handed, I couldn’t utilize the side buttons, slightly making me dislike the design.

Who Is It For?

The Razer Viper V2 Pro is for gamers who play competitive shooter games and want a great grip.

What Makes It The Best Overall Gaming Mouse For Fortnite?

The weight, extra side grips, wireless connectivity, and the simplistic yet robust design are a few reasons why the Razer Viper V2 Pro is the best overall gaming mouse for Fortnite.

Logitech G305

Best Budget Gaming Mouse For Fortnite

Best Budget Mouse For Fortnite
Logitech G305

Specifications: Size: 116.6 x 62.15 x 38.2mm | Weight: 99g | Warranty: 2-Year Limited Hardware Warranty | Programmable Buttons: 3 | Switch Type: Mechanical Button Tensioning System | Max Speed (IPS): 400 | Max Sensitivity (DPI): 200 —12,000 | Sensor: HERO Sensor | RGB: No

  • Great build quality
  • Low click latency
  • Affordable yet amazing performance
  • It comes with various color options
  • Slightly heavy
  • Not rechargeable

Gamers with a low budget usually use a low-quality mouse, affecting their gameplay. However, the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED wireless mouse has defied budget laws and provides amazing performance, click latency, and grip options while firmly keeping an eye on the price of the mouse.

Firstly, the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED showcases a petite build with small dimensions of 116.6 x 62.15 x 38.2mm (L x W x H). You’ll find slight discomfort with bigger hands, but the mouse is a wonderful fit for those with shorter hands. I felt I needed more space to put my palm around the mouse during testing.

Moreover, the weight significantly increases because the Logitech G305 uses a non-rechargeable battery to stay connected. Weighing 99 grams, you must exert more force while moving the mouse around. Doing so might affect your aim slightly, but other than that, there are no issues with the grip.

Something I didn’t like about the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED is the non-rechargeable battery. While the mouse is promised to run for 250 hours on the “LIGHTSPEED” mode, you must buy a new battery occasionally, depending on your gaming time. If you spend 4 hours gaming daily, you will need a new battery around 2 months later.

You can increase the battery’s life expectancy if you shift to “endurance mode,” where you can spend a few extra months without getting a new battery. However, doing so will cost you on mouse latency. In endurance mode, the mouse latency goes up to 8ms at a 125Hz polling rate, which is unsuitable for gaming. During testing, I felt the cursor lag behind my movements.

Furthermore, the main reason for the mouse’s greater weight is the battery. If you change the alkaline battery with a lithium one, you can reduce the weight, but your connectivity hours will reduce too. So, while you gain something, you also lose something.

Lastly, the Logitech G305 offers a simple design in several colors. Also, because the mouse has an ambidextrous design, it doesn’t matter whether you’re right or left-handed. I benefited greatly because I could use all the buttons without any issues. It makes you believe the Logitech G305 is the best Fortnite mouse under $30.

The low click latency, affordability, performance for budget, and ambidextrous design are a few things I liked about the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED.

What We Disliked

The weight, non-rechargeable battery, and battery life are a few aspects I disliked about the mouse.

Who Is It For?

The Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED is for gamers on a tight budget who require a quality mouse. Consumers who are always on the move can also benefit greatly from the product.

What Makes It The Best Budget Gaming Mouse For Fortnite?

Logitech’s LIGHTSPEED wireless technology is the most important factor that makes the Logitech G305 the best budget gaming mouse for Fortnite.

Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED

Best MacOS Gaming Mouse For Fortnite

Best Macos Gaming Mouse For Fortnite
Logitech G604 Lightspeed

Specifications: Size: 130 x 80 x 45mm | Weight: 128g | Warranty: 2 Years Limited Warranty | Programmable Buttons: 15 | Switch Type: Omron Switches | Max Speed (IPS): 400 | Max Sensitivity (DPI): 100 — 25,600 | Sensor: HERO 25K Sensor | RGB: No

  • Great software customizations
  • Compatibility with macOS and Windows
  • Plethora of side buttons
  • Weight
  • Not recommended for small hands

Regarding gaming mice for macOS users, you shouldn’t find any problems with most products. However, due to its productivity tasks and gaming variability, the Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED tops them all. Also, the Logitech software customizations drastically increase the value of the Logitech G604.

Starting with the size, the Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED’s dimensions are 130 x 80 x 45mm (L x W x H), making it a large mouse. If you have small hands, you’ll find difficulty in getting a firm grip. I don’t recommend a claw grip due to the mouse’s weight. While you can use the claw grip, you’ll notice your hand gets tired more frequently than using other mice.

Also Read: Types of Mouse Grips

The former is due to the mouse’s extreme weight, going at 128g. The weight can increase depending on the battery you’re using. So, going above 140g is easily possible. Thus, the Logitech G604 isn’t the best mouse for fast-paced competitive gaming. But if you’re playing Fortnite’s zero-build mode, you shouldn’t feel much difference as you don’t have to build anything. Rather, the mouse’s low latency makes it an amazing choice for such games.

To explain, the Logitech G604 provides gamers with a 1ms response time in the LIGHTSPEED mode. However, the latency increases to ~6ms in Bluetooth mode, increasing battery life. So, depending on your use case scenario, I recommend shifting between both modes to get the maximum battery life possible.

The Logitech G604 is an amazing mouse for productivity tasks because of the number of programmable buttons it houses. You can create a lot of macros for your creative tasks and quicken your work by a great margin. Considering macOS is favored for such tasks, the mouse pairs up quite well.

In any case, if you’re using a macOS computer and want to play games while keeping your versatility with productivity tasks, the Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED should meet your demands. The weight might be problematic while gaming, but the rest shouldn’t be a problem.

Logitech’s LIGHTSPEED mode, along with the G604’s amazing customizations, are a few points I loved about the mouse.

What We Disliked

The size and weight of the mouse could be slightly improved for a better experience. I had difficulty holding the mouse because it was too big for my hands, which I disliked.

Who Is It For?

The Logitech G604 is for gamers and consumers utilizing macOS for gaming and productivity. The mouse is good for gaming and a great addition to add productivity macros.

What Makes It The Best MacOS Gaming Mouse For Fortnite?

The Logitech G604’s LIGHTSPEED mode and 15 programmable buttons are definite reasons that make it the best macOS gaming mouse for Fortnite.

Razer Orochi V2

Best Claw Grip Mouse For Fortnite

Best Clawgrip Mouse For Fortnite
Razer Orochi V2

Specifications: Size: 108 x 62.6 x 38.5mm | Weight: 60g | Warranty: 60 million clicks | Programmable Buttons: 6 | Switch Type: 2nd-gen Razer Mechanical Mouse Switches | Max Speed (IPS): 450 | Max Sensitivity (DPI): 400 — 18,000 | Sensor: Optical Sensor | RGB: No

  • Great battery life
  • Extremely low weight
  • Superb build quality
  • Requires batteries
  • Might be too small for larger hands

Claw grips provide the best accuracy but take the most stamina from the three mouse grip styles. If you’re a claw grip user who plays Fortnite, the Razer Orochi V2 mouse should be on your list. The mouse is extremely light and has an almost-instant response time and an amazing battery life.

Starting with the size, the Razer Orochi V2 has size dimensions of 108 x 62.6 x 38.5mm (L x W x H), making it one of the smallest mice on the list. My hands were slightly bigger to give me a smooth experience with the Razer Orochi V2 during the test. However, using a claw grip with the mouse will give you the best experience if you have small or medium-sized hands.

Because of its ultra-lightweight, the strain on your hands while using the claw grip will significantly diminish. Weighing in at 60g, the Razer Orochi V2 is one of the lightest mice on the list. As I discussed, the lighter a mouse is, the better you can aim. Additionally, using the claw grip, your aim can improve even more. So, in theory, the Razer Orochi V2 is one of the best mice to improve your aim with.

That’s not all, however. The Razer Orochi V2 provides up to 950 hours of continuous run-time on its Bluetooth mode. The time is significantly reduced to 425 hours when you shift to a 2.4GHz dongle. But, the dongle allows gamers to achieve ultra-low latency, improving their gaming performance.

While I was using the Razer Orochi V2, the Razer HyperSpeed Wireless feature made the cursor seamless to a fault. Therefore, if you’re looking for one of the best mouse for Fortnite, the Razer Orochi V2 should end up in your books.

Not only do you receive a great-quality mouse at a reasonable price, but you also receive a light mouse with an amazing battery life. The only faults are the size and false ambidextrous design. Unfortunately, left-handed players won’t be able to utilize the side buttons, making the mouse a no-go for them.

What We Liked

Razer Orochi V2
Razer Orochi V2

When looking at the Razer Orochi V2, I loved the design, smooth gliding capabilities, and grip. Couple all that with its price, and the value skyrockets significantly.

What We Disliked

Although the Razer Orochi V2 is a great mouse, I wouldn’t say I liked the size and the false ambidextrous design, making it difficult for me to use.

Who Is It For?

The Razer Orochi V2 is for players who utilize a claw grip while gaming. It will also be a great addition for players with smaller hands. With all its features, it becomes Fortnite’s best claw grip mouse.

What Makes It The Best Claw Grip Mouse For Fortnite?

The small size, lightweight, and amazing build quality are a few reasons that make the Razer Orochi V2 the best claw grip mouse for Fortnite in 2023.

Logitech G Pro Wireless

Best Palm Grip Mouse For Fortnite

Best Palm Grip Mouse For Fortnite
Logitech G Pro Wireless

Specifications: Size: 125 x 62.5 x 40mm | Weight: 80g | Warranty: 2 year limited warranty | Programmable Buttons: 8 | Switch Type: Mechanical Button Tensioning System | Max Speed (IPS): 400 | Max Sensitivity (DPI): 100 — 25,600 | Sensor: HERO 25K | RGB: Yes

  • Great battery life
  • Precise tracking
  • Ambidextrous design with removable buttons
  • Minimal aesthetic RGB
  • Expensive
  • No Bluetooth connectivity
  • DPI button at the bottom

Logitech mice are one of the best choices for gaming. Renowned gamers such as Ninja use Logitech mice when playing Fortnite. If you’re a gamer who plays for longer durations daily, the Logitech G Pro Wireless might be worth looking into. Its precise tracking, ambidextrous design, and minimalistic RGB make it the best palm grip mouse for Fortnite.

Palm grips are the best for a longer duration of gaming, but they tend to reduce accuracy. Even so, you can easily rest your palm without discomfort with the Logitech G Pro Wireless, which has 125 x 62.5 x 40mm (L x W x H).

While reviewing the mouse, I had no issues playing longer than usual. Furthermore, the 80g weight isn’t heavy enough to cause excessive strain on your hand. Moreover, because the mouse doesn’t utilize any batteries, the weight distribution is even, helping with aiming.

Talking about batteries, the Logitech G Pro Wireless has one of the best charging life I have seen in a wireless mouse. If you keep the RGB on, you can get around 45 hours of charging and approximately 60 hours with RGB off. In other words, depending on how much you play and work daily, you can get around a week’s life with one charge.

While using the Logitech G Pro Wireless, even when the mouse gave me a low battery signal, I found no increase in latency, and the tracking was still on-point. It might not show, but investing in a great sensor is worth it.

Additionally, the ambidextrous design with removable side buttons is a great move by the company as it allows both-handed users to utilize the mouse as they please. The customization options increase exponentially, and removing the buttons from one place and attaching them to another is rather simple.

The Logitech G Pro Wireless isn’t all amazing, though. You’ll find the mouse’s latest design annoying if you’re a gamer who frequently changes their DPI. To explain, the Logitech G Pro Wireless DPI switch is at the base of the mouse. So, if you want to change the DPI during the middle of a competitive Fortnite match, you’ll need to lift the mouse in the air and click on the button to get your desired DPI.

In conclusion, the Logitech G Pro Wireless is great for long-form gaming, thanks to its design, battery life, and size. You can easily utilize the palm grip and play games all day without worrying about running out of battery.

What We Liked

As a left-handed gamer who plays games all day, I loved the ambidextrous design, long battery life, and mouse design.

What We Disliked

Although I don’t change the settings, I wouldn’t say I like that the DPI button is at the base of the mouse. The price isn’t something to scoff at, either. Additionally, you don’t get Bluetooth connectivity, which might be essential for a few consumers.

Who Is It For?

The Logitech G Pro Wireless is for gamers who play games for longer durations daily. It is also for those who love using the palm grip while using a mouse.

What Makes It The Best Palm Grip Mouse For Fortnite?

The long battery life, size, and ambidextrous design make the Logitech G Pro Wireless the best palm grip mouse for Fortnite.

Glorious Model O Wireless

Best Fingertip Grip Mouse For Fortnite

Best Fingertip Grip Mouse For Fortnite
Glorious Model O

Specifications: Size: 127 x 66.04 x 38.1mm | Weight: 69g | Warranty: 2 years limited warranty | Programmable Buttons: 6 | Switch Type: Omron Mechanical Switches | Max Speed (IPS): 400 | Max Sensitivity (DPI): 100 — 19,000 | Sensor: Glorious BAMF Sensor | RGB: Yes

  • Impressive sensor
  • Good RGB options
  • Ambidextrous design
  • Uncomfortable design holes
  • Not suitable for small hands

The Glorious Model O Wireless should interest you if you play competitive games like Fortnite, have medium or large-sized hands, and utilize a fingertip grip. The mouse has the perfect weight for a fingertip grip, and the sensor only improves the performance.

The Glorious Model O Wireless might be too big for gamers with small hands, coming at 127 x 66.04 x 38.1mm (L x W x H). You can go with the Glorious Model O- for the smaller version. However, the size of the Model O is perfect for players who utilize the fingertip grip as they rest most of the palm away from the mouse. Even though fingertip grips strain your fingers a lot, while I was testing the mouse, the strain on my fingers was considerably lower than others.

Nevertheless, the Glorious Model O Wireless could have done a better job regarding the design. For example, the holes on the mouse are uncomfortable while using a fingertip grip. There’s a chance you can get distracted because of the texture while playing. While I was playing Fortnite competitively, I noticed my reaction was slightly slower because I was focusing more on the mouse’s texture.

An upside to the mouse design is its ambidextrous nature. Because I’m left-handed, the feature was much needed to enjoy the mouse fully. Furthermore, the Glorious Model O Wireless offers plenty of RGB options for you to customize the mouse. The slight illumination at the sides of the mouse gives it a great gamer-esque aesthetic look, which more-or-less matches my rig.

Like the Logitech G Pro Wireless, the Glorious Model O has a battery life of 71 hours with RGB off. When you want to recharge, connect your mouse to the USB-C cable and keep using it while it charges. Even while you are wireless, the click latency is extremely low, and there is no cursor lag either.

Therefore, if you’re looking for the best mouse for Fortnite, the Glorious Model O is one such product. You get an amazing battery life, a great grip, an amazing sensor, and plenty of RGB options to go with everything. There are a few cons, but you can get used to the texture of the mouse in due time.

What We Liked

Glorious Model O Wireless
Glorious Model O Wireless

Considering the price, I loved the low click latency, long battery life, and RGB options provided with the mouse.

What We Disliked

Although the Glorious Model O Wireless offers an ambidextrous design, I disliked the hole design due to its weird honeycomb-like texture.

Who Is It For?

The Glorious Model O Wireless is for gamers using the fingertip grip while playing competitive games. Even though it’s a bit expensive, it can also be considered your 2nd upgrade after buying a budget mouse.

What Makes It The Best Fingertip Grip Mouse For Fortnite?

The size, amazing sensor, long battery life, and grip capabilities make the Glorious Model O Wireless the best fingertip grip mouse for Fortnite.

Fortnite Mouse Tips

After discussing the best mouse for Fortnite, I will share a few Fortnite tips you may not have known before. Such as what mouse targeting sensitivity you should have, how to turn the mouse acceleration off, and the best Fortnite keyboard and mouse settings.

Fortnite Mouse Targeting Sensitivity

Fortnite, unlike its rivals, has a more complex gameplay. If playing competitive or most other game modes, you must build to protect yourself and collect rare weapons while defeating enemies who block your path to win.

Although the aim is important, a bad mouse and settings won’t let you win, no matter how good you can aim. Therefore, here are a few settings I have tried and tested that work best. However, remember that everyone has the settings that work best for them.

Fortnite Mouse Sensitivity

Because I don’t have a lot of space to move my mouse, I keep most of my sensitivity at higher-than-normal levels. For the most part, here’s an order of the settings you should start your testing with:

  • X-Axis Sensitivity: 8%
  • Y-Axis Sensitivity: 7%
  • Targeting Sensitivity: 27%
  • Mouse Scope Sensitivity: 30%
  • Mouse DPI: 800 — 1,200

Depending on your liking and how much space you have, you’ll have to move those sliders to the right. Keeping the sensitivity low will be optimal if you like to snipe.

Best Fortnite Keyboard And Mouse Settings

Fortnite, being the complex game it is, has more than a dozen keyboard binding options. When you first open the game, simply understanding and remembering the number of bindings will overwhelm you. Therefore, here’s a list of the best Fortnite keyboard (and mouse) settings you might like.

Here’s a list of the most important bindings you need to remember and how I have placed them in the game.

  • Sprint: Left Shift
  • Crouch: C
  • Repair/Upgrade: G
  • Harvesting Tool: F

How To Turn Off Mouse Acceleration

While many players like using mouse acceleration, most pros always keep it off because aiming is all about muscle memory. The more precise your mouse is, the better you can aim. Two methods exist to turn off mouse acceleration in-game and out-of-game.

Disabling Mouse Acceleration From Windows Settings

The first way to turn off mouse acceleration is to disable it from Windows settings. Go to all settings and type in “mouse,” and click on “mouse settings.”

After clicking on mouse settings, you’ll see a new page showcasing basic cursor speed. Look around the top right corner to find an option for “additional mouse options” and click that.

Once you click the button, you will see a new pop-up showing you various mouse properties. Click on “pointer options” and continue.

You will now see a checkbox saying “enhance pointer precision.” If the checkbox is ticked, untick it to disable mouse acceleration. Disabling Mouse Acceleration

Disabling Mouse Acceleration In Fortnite

After disabling mouse acceleration from Windows, you must also disable the option in Fortnite. Unfortunately, no checkbox within the game lets gamers disable the function. You must go through another slightly longer route, but not necessarily more difficult.

Firstly, open your Windows search bar and type “run”. After doing so, type “%appdata%” and press enter.

Once you press enter, you will find yourself in a folder called “Appdata.” Now go to “Local > FortniteGame > Saved > Config > WindowsClient” to find a file called “GameUserSettings.ini.”

Now, right-click on the file and click on “Properties.” Once the properties screen opens, check if the file has the “Read Only” checkbox ticked. If so, untick the checkbox.

Now, click the file, click “Open With,” and click on Notepad to open the file.

Once you open the file, press “Ctrl + F” to search for “DisableMouseAcceleration.” If the value after the equals sign is “false,” re-type it as “true” and save the file.

Close the file, and once you start playing the game, you’ll notice a drastic change in your cursor movement. Although it might feel bothersome at first, your gameplay will soon improve.

Important Mouse Key Terms

  • DPI: Also stands for Dots-Per-Inches; DPI is used to calculate the sensitivity of a mouse. Gamers tend to keep their DPI within 800 — 1,200.
  • PTFE: Short for PolyTetraFlouroEthylene, high-quality mice feet are made of 100% PTFE to ensure smooth gliding.
  • IPS: Abbreviation for Inches-Per-Second; IPS showcases the maximum velocity the mouse sensor supports.
  • Acceleration: The mouse acceleration feature accelerates the speed of the mouse, allowing users to cover more distance.
  • Polling Rate: It is the frequency at which the mouse signals the computer about its whereabouts on the screen. Polling rates can vary from 125Hz to 1,000Hz depending on the quality.
  • Click Latency: Lower click latencies show the time taken for a mouse click to be registered from the mouse to the computer.
  • Programmable Buttons: Extra buttons on the mouse through which users can create macros or shortcuts to ease their productivity tasks.

How We Selected These Mice

Of course, when it comes down to it, I must showcase how I selected each mouse to be in a certain category. Comfort, sensor, polling rate, and click latency were some points I looked into while selecting the mice.

Comfort

Logitech G Pro Wireless - Palm Grip

What good is a mouse if it’s not comfortable in your hand? While selecting the mice, I ensured I could utilize at least one grip comfortably. Be it the claw, palm, or fingertip. Ambidextrous mice got a positive review from my side too.

Sensor

Corsair Harpoon Rgb Wireless - Sensor
Corsair Harpoon Rgb Wireless – Sensor (Image By Tech4Gamers)

Although usually underrated, a mouse’s sensor ensures how fast or slow your mouse will work. A good wireless mouse always requires a strong sensor to cover the “low battery” period.

Polling Rate

Another important aspect to consider in wireless mice; the polling rate measures how often a peripheral device reports its positioning on the monitor screen. The value is measured in Hertz (Hz), and a higher polling rate results in shorter delays. Therefore, most of the selected mice have a polling rate of 1,000Hz.

Click Latency

Aside from the polling rate, the click latency showcases how long a mouse will take to send a signal to the computer. The lower, the better. While wireless mice have higher click latency, today’s technology has improved significantly.
