Another Fortnite downtime is here. Once again, Epic Games took the servers down to release a new update for the popular video game. Unfortunately, Fortnite will be unavailable during the downtime, meaning that all of its modes will be down for at least an hour.
While the update won’t bring any major changes to Fortnite: Save the World, this mode won’t be available either. The same goes for the Creative mode, as both regular and UEFN maps will be down until the servers come back.
This article will explain everything you need to know about the v25.20 Fortnite downtime. We’ll also predict when the servers will come back, based on the previous downtimes.
When will Fortnite servers be back?
While it’s nearly impossible to correctly predict when the Fortnite downtime will end, we can take a look at the previous downtimes to see how long they usually last. The v25.10 update was released at 3 AM Eastern Time, and servers were back at 5:20 AM.
Most downtimes last for two to three hours, unless they bring new seasons. Considering that the v25.20 Fortnite update is the second major update of Chapter 4 – Season 3, the servers should be back in less than three hours.
Considering that this is a major update, you need to update your clients before you can play the video game. Due to this, make sure to turn on your gaming system and download the update before the servers come back. You may also perform this process in standby mode on gaming consoles.
The size of the latest update varies on different platforms, but the update will be generally bigger if you also have Fortnite: Save the World installed. Additionally, Fortnite Battle Royale’s high-resolution textures require larger downloads, but you can disable them from in-game settings.
