Activision has now revealed that another free weekend will be arriving to celebrate the release of MW2 Season 2 Reloaded.

According to the official announcement blog post, the latest map addition called the Himmelmatt Expo, which was brought in with the midseason update, will be available throughout the duration of the trial. The usual 6v6 core game modes will also be playable during this time as well as the Atomgrad Spec Ops Raid Episode 01.

Now that you know what to expect, you may be wondering when you can jump into the game for free. Not to worry, because you’ll be able to find out all the information you need below.

MW2 Free Access Start Date

MW2 will be free-to-play for a total of five days from March 16 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT to March 20 until it ends at the same time. As mentioned before, a handful of multiplayer game modes and maps will be playable during this time including the latest addition called the Himmelmatt Expo.

Most of the core game modes, such as Team Deathmatch, Infected, and Gun Game, will also be available. Unfortunately, the popular Search and Destroy mode along with Headquarters will not be included during the free period.

Two battle map modes in Ground War and Invasion can similarly be accessed during this time. However, this may not be a popular choice for newcomers as it will only be playable on the notorious Border Crossing map.

Finally, the popular Atomgrad Episode 01 Raid, which features Captain Price, Farah, and Gaz, will be available as well. Those who are able to finish it before the free access period ends can get a new operator skin as well as a mystery case – as long as you purchase the full game afterwards, that is.
