Sons of the Forest has released to largely positive reviews from the community so far. Unfortunately, its early access period is only available on PC currently so console players are understandably frustrated that they aren’t able to play the survival horror title.

Will Sons of the Forest be coming to console?
Sons of the Forest will most likely be released on console purely due to its popularity and cooperative features. Though it hasn’t officially been confirmed yet, we can assume that it will eventually arrive on different platforms since its predecessor, 2014’s The Forest, was also released for the PS4.

Endnight Games is still planning on adding a ton of new content to their latest creation throughout the duration of its early access period. They have also mentioned that its pre-release phase is set to last for at least 6-8 months so porting it to other systems may not be a priority of theirs for now.
Keep in mind, though, that this is still merely speculation for now as they are yet to officially acknowledge what their launch strategies are for the future. Based on early reviews, however, a large number of players seem incredibly satisfied with the current state of the game even if it is still incomplete. Once all planned content and features have finally been introduced, Sons of the Forest should be in an even better position moving forward.
