Is Dead Island 2 going to be on Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, Dead Island 2 is not going to be included with Xbox Game Pass at launch. If you want to play the sequel to the 2011 title of the same name, you’ll have to purchase it for the Xbox One or the Xbox Series X|S.

But even though it won’t immediately be available on Game Pass doesn’t mean that it won’t be introduced to the subscription service at some point. Plenty of other significant titles have eventually made their way to the platform so it could also possibly be included at some point in the future.

Additionally, those that purchase the game on any Xbox platform will also need to be subscribed to Game Pass in order to make use of its multiplayer features. With this in mind, Dead Island 2 may eventually be introduced to the app as a means of making the online experience smoother for Xbox players.

This zombie slaying title from Deep Silver will similarly be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Those playing on the Switch unfortunately won’t be able to join in on the fun as the beloved handheld console was notably excluded from the game’s list of compatible systems.
